  • 12 ounces linguine or fettuccine
  • 1/2 pound medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/2 pound boneless, skinless chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1/2 pound turkey sausage, sliced into rounds
  • 1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning (adjust to taste)
  • Chopped fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta in salted boiling water until al dente; drain and set aside.
  2. Toss shrimp and chicken with half of the Cajun seasoning. In a skillet over medium-high heat, cook the chicken until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, sauté shrimp until pink; set aside. Cook turkey sausage until browned.
  4. Sauté bell peppers until softened; add butter and flour to create a roux.
  5. Gradually whisk in chicken broth and heavy cream until smooth. Stir in cheese and remaining seasonings.
  6. Combine proteins and veggies into the sauce; add cooked pasta and toss to coat.
  7. Serve hot garnished with parsley.
