  • 2 large Honeycrisp apples
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour (or gluten-free flour blend)
  • 4 tbsp apple pie spice
  • 5 tbsp cinnamon (reserve 1 tbsp for topping)
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup light brown sugar
  • Olive oil nonstick spray

Instructions

  1. Peel and slice the apples into 1/2-inch wedges.
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, apple pie spice, and 4 tablespoons of cinnamon.
  3. Shake the apple wedges in the flour mixture until fully coated.
  4. Whisk eggs and vanilla together in another bowl.
  5. Dredge each wedge in the egg mixture, then return to the flour mixture for a second coat.
  6. Combine remaining brown sugar with the last tablespoon of cinnamon.
  7. Preheat air fryer at 350°F and spray basket with olive oil spray.
  8. Arrange apple wedges in a single layer; cook for 6 minutes, flip, spray again with oil, sprinkle with cinnamon sugar mix, and cook for another 6 minutes.
  9. Serve warm with your favorite dips.
